DevSecOps Engineer

Contract DevSecOps Engineer (Azure / AKS)

12-Month Contract | Fully Remote (Ireland)

My client is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer for a long-term contract focused on designing, securing, and operating Azure Kubernetes (AKS) platforms. This is a fully remote role, with no onsite requirements, ideal for engineers with a strong security-first mindset.

Role Overview

• Design, build, and operate secure AKS environments at scale

• Implement security-by-default across Kubernetes clusters, workloads, and CI/CD pipelines

• Support containerised workloads using GitOps practices (Flux preferred)

• Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with embedded security controls

• Manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or Bicep

• Enforce least-privilege access, policy-as-code, and compliance standards

• Work with Cilium and modern Kubernetes networking and security tooling

• Partner with engineering teams to shift security left and improve platform resilience

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with AKS / Kubernetes in production

• CKA required, CKS strongly preferred

• Proven experience embedding security into CI/CD and GitOps workflows

• Strong background in Linux systems and container security

• Experience with Kubernetes security tooling (e.g. Cilium, PSP replacements, OPA/Gatekeeper, Falco, Trivy, etc.)

• Security-focused engineering mindset with a DevOps delivery approach
